3D market simulations
V2 is not video content made three-dimensional. It is an Interactive Market Simulation that turns abstract market mechanisms into dynamic systems you can operate.
Positioning
The 3D edition is a Financial System Simulation Engine, rather than decorative gamification.
Instead of merely hearing about “liquidity drying up,” you watch order-book levels disappear. Instead of hearing that “leverage amplifies risk,” you adjust leverage yourself, see the liquidation price approach, watch forced selling appear, and observe a portfolio collapse.
Six rooms
Entering the 3D World reveals a trading hall and six rooms instead of a course list:
Stand inside the order book: each price level is a floor, with order blocks resting on it.
Adjust leverage and inspect margin; watch liquidation approach and cascade.
Manage several positions and watch risk, correlation, and exposure change with markets.
Turn rate, liquidity, inflation, dollar, and risk-appetite knobs and observe asset responses.
Trigger flash crashes, exchange failures, and stablecoin depegs; manage positions, orders, and risk under stress.
Choose markets, signals, and condition combinations; observe triggers, execution, PnL, and drawdowns in historical markets.
Ten simulations
Each simulation attaches to a knowledge node. The plan is to unlock it after the Foundation chapter and add deeper layers, such as large-order impact, after Advanced study. Automatic unlocking and progress integration with deeper scenes are not yet implemented; existing learning records can be saved explicitly on this device.
| Simulation | Room | Nodes | Variables you can change | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Order book Order Book | Trading hall | TRD-MICRO-001 | Order quantity, Buy or sell, Resting quantity at each level | Prototype available |
| Liquidity Liquidity | Trading hall | TRD-MICRO-002 | Market depth, Fraction of resting orders withdrawn, Order quantity | MVP |
| Leverage Leverage | Risk room | TRD-MICRO-005 | Leverage multiple, Price path, Maintenance-margin rate | MVP |
| Liquidation cascade Liquidation Cascade | Risk room | TRD-MICRO-006 | Initial decline, Average leverage, Open interest, Market depth | MVP |
| Portfolio Portfolio Simulator | Portfolio command center | TRD-PRO-002 | Asset weights, Volatility, Correlation, Macro shock | MVP |
| Market crisis Market Crisis | Crisis simulation room | TRD-PRO-001 | Crisis type, Position size, Stop-loss and circuit-breaker rules | MVP |
| Market making Market Maker Lab | Trading hall | TRD-MICRO-003 | Quoted spread, Inventory limit, Informed-trader fraction | Later |
| Macro knobs Macro Control | Macro control room | TRD-STRAT-005 | Rate, Liquidity, Inflation, USD, Risk Appetite | Later |
| Strategy laboratory Strategy Lab | Research laboratory | TRD-BT-001 | Market, Signal, Condition combination, Holding horizon | Later |
| Institutional trading desk Institutional Trading Desk | Crisis simulation room | TRD-PRO-006 | Random crisis sequence, Portfolio, Risk-control rules | Later |
The first batch includes the six mechanisms most worth visualizing: order books, liquidity, leverage, cascading liquidation, portfolios, and market crises. These are enough to test whether 3D actually improves understanding.
Ten crisis scenarios
The 3D graduation scenario
The final scenario is an Institutional Trading Desk. The system randomly generates rate shocks, Crypto crashes, exchange failures, stablecoin depegs, oil shocks, and liquidity crises. You must handle positions, orders, risk, portfolios, and execution together.
Assessment considers the following rather than how much money you make:

The order-book prototype is already operable in the 3D trading hall: select a direction, drag the quantity, place a market order, and watch opposite-side resting orders consumed level by level. Its numbers match Chapter 13 exactly because both use the same simulation model.
The 3D edition is currently a preview without a public entry point. Its technical plan and task breakdown are in the repository's docs/V2-3D-PLAN.md.
